The South Pacific has long captured the imagination of travellers from Continental Europe and the Americas, known as one of the world’s most romantic and remote dream destinations. Yet, the opportunity to connect directly with key decision-makers from the Pacific has traditionally been limited—until now.
Meet The Pacific (MTP) is a one-day, business-to-business meeting event that brings together leading South Pacific resort partners, tourism boards, and airline representatives (sellers) with committed European tour operators (buyers). These buyers are either long-time supporters of the region or are actively seeking to develop new South Pacific product offerings.
For 2026, we’re making a strategic change:
MTP will move to September, offering better timing for both sellers and buyers, while aligning with key trade and booking cycles. This change is designed to maximise efficiency and engagement across all markets involved.
In addition, we will be streamlining our travel agent training programs, focusing on just two targeted sessions around ITB Berlin and UNITE Pacific. This ensures deeper engagement and impact with retail agents at two of the most relevant times of the year.
Not all tour operators attend ITB, and visiting them individually across Europe can be a costly and time-consuming effort. MTP remains the most cost-effective way to meet these partners in-market through pre-scheduled one-on-one appointments via our online scheduling platform.
The outbound markets of Europe and the Americas are critically important to the South Pacific. With this new format for 2026, we’re committed to providing a focused, productive platform that drives mutual growth, fosters new partnerships, and strengthens our collective efforts to increase tourism to the region.
